Lessons

Whether you’re picking up sticks for the first time or looking to break through a plateau, my goal is simple:

Help you become a more musical, confident, and in-demand drummer.

With decades of professional playing, teaching, recording, and live performance experience, I tailor lessons to the individual student — not a one-size-fits-all method book. My focus is not just on what to play, but how to play in a way that feels natural, musical, and sustainable for the long term.

One of the most important foundations I teach is proper grip and technique. Developing healthy mechanics early can help prevent issues such as tension, fatigue, cramping, tendon strain, and repetitive stress injuries later on.

What We Can Work On

Beginner Students

  • Proper grip and technique
  • Reading rhythms and drum charts
  • Hand and foot coordination
  • Drum rudiments and timing
  • Warm-ups and practice habits
  • Drum tuning and setup basics
  • Building confidence and consistency

Intermediate & Advanced Students

  • Groove development
  • Musicality and dynamics
  • Technique refinement
  • Independence and coordination
  • Recording and live performance preparation
  • Style development
  • Practice strategy and overcoming plateaus

I also believe strongly in:

Groove before chops.
A great drummer supports the music first.

Not Ready for Lessons Yet?

That’s completely fine.

If you simply want to ask questions, exchange ideas, discuss gear, or talk drums and music, feel free to reach out anyway. I genuinely enjoy helping other musicians grow and connecting with people who love rhythm and creativity.
